Day 302: Obama over Romney in the 2012 Elections - Celebratory Songs (Video)
I had no doubt that Obama would get re-elected over 'the Mitt'. Now, if Obama's victory speech was a rap video, it'd sound something like this ^^
And oh yea don't forget, our President is still...

Day 293: Relax to some 'Cherry Wine' - Nas x Amy Winehouse (Video)
"I want someone who like the champagne I like,
My A-alike;
Someone to talk me off the bridge any day or night,
She teach me how to live, she ain’t afraid of life."
- Nas
One of my favorite good-felt tracks from Nas' recent album, Life is Good.

Day 202: Rock the Bells - Where Hip-Hop stays true and is still alive (Events)
- Nas on stage performing..
8/20/11 (San Bernadino, CA): So, I wasn't sure if I was going to go to Rock the Bells this past Saturday but luckily I was able to get one of my good music homies to come out with me.
I left LA pretty late so I didn't get to enjoy RTB to it's fullest but I managed to check out a bit of Erika Badu & Mobb Deep, saw Nas peform, and ended the cold night with some Lauryn Hill. Yea, it was freakin cold cuz I was wearing a T-shirt & shorts expecting it to be super hot over there. #wardrobefail
Anyways, here's a video I took of one of my new favorite songs by Nas & Common called "Ghetto Dreams." Chekkit live right here:
======================================================
- Still a lot of Hip-Hop fans here as you can see...
Regardless of missing a lot of performances during the day, I'm grateful I was able to go & enjoy live Hip-Hop and be surrounded by Hip-Hop heads for once. It seems like they're hard to find around here in LA since everybody around me listens to that electro/dub-step sh*t, or maybe I need to start looking for them...

Day 196: This track is str8 fire! - "Ghetto Dreams" by Common x Nas (Music Video)
Common - Ghetto Dreams ft. Nas
- Alt Audio Link
Missing that old school Hip-Hop sound? Well, here you go! =D
A dope collabo-track by Common & Nas with an "authentic" hip-hop beat (with real instruments & mixing; none of that electro sh*t) and fluid rhymes. They both are truly considered as artists to me when it comes to making genuine Hip-Hop music. #keepinHipHopalive
It looks like Common is coming out with a new album this Fall called The Dreamer, The Believer, so be on the lookout for that. Cuz you know I'll be all over that..

Day 177: Sik beat on this new Nas & Raekwon track - Rick & Black (Music Video)
Raekwon - Rich & Black ft. Nas
- Alt Audio Link
Sorry for the lag everyone; it took me some time to recover from the July 4th weekend in Vegas but I'm back! Well, kinda sorta.. #stillrecovering
Anyways, I just heard this new track by Nas & Raekwon today and just fell in love with this dope beat. This beat reminds me of the early 90's when hip-hop was simple & chill, and had lyrics that you could bump your head to. The good ol' days...
On a side note, it looks like LRG set this all up so props to them for giving us hip-hop fans something to watch & listen to #realtalk

Day 170: A classic Nas track ft. R. Kelly - Stream Dreams (Music Video)
Nas - Stream Dreams (Remix) ft. R. Kelly
This is one of my favorite classic tracks by Nas featuring R. Kelly (when he was the most normal). Definitely one of Nas' smoother & chiller songs from back in the day.
I can really chill to this all-day; this song can even put me to sleep.. just two more days til the weekend and then I can do some real chillin, haha!
Enjoy this classic Nas track tho.

Day 97: Chillin Playlist for the week - The Game, Nas, Wiz, 1982, Show Tufli (Audio)
Lately, my mind & body has been flat-out exhausted from a million things to do and I'm not getting much sleep these days either, which is why I just can't get into any loud/uptempo/party music right now.
On that note, I think it's a good time to take a step back from all that and mellow out to some super chill beats. Here are some recent songs in my current playlist that help put me in a calm mood and will keep me at ease through these busy weeks:
The Game - I'm The King
- Alt Audio Link
Wiz Khalifa - Star Of The Show
Nas - Who Are You [Tags]
- Alt Audio Link
1982 - Money Is Reality featuring Action Bronson
- Alt Audio Link
Show Tufli - Jap Scene
- Alt Audio Link
These songs start off more mainstream-ish and move underground as you get to the bottom songs. I hope everyone can find a song here they can "WOO-SAH" too.

Day 18: Mellow Out To Some Nas (Audio)
Nas is definitely among the top 5 rappers in my Hip-Hop list of all time, but man I just wish he would come out with another solo album (just one more!).
He's recently been doing some solo tracks here & there, and been featured on songs with other artists. He actually did a joint album with Damian Marley called "Distance Relatives" which came out this past 4/20 (of course!). On that note, he is currently touring and will be in San Bernardino, CA performing @ the Smoke Out Festival on October 16th. I may possibly check that out, but I hate driving all the way out there.
Here are some chill songs to help you do away with any stress going on:
Nas - Material Things ft. Jully Black
- http://usershare.net/WWUM/cdja7trbgwyu
Nas - Film (Produced by C-Sick)
(kinda old-2009, but man this song is dope)

Day 10: ESPN's 30 for 30 about Mike Tyson & Tupac
This is a very interesting ESPN: 30 for 30 documentary called "One Night in Vegas" (that just aired last night) which is about Mike Tyson & Tupac Shakur's growing bond together and contains stories about their friendship leading up to the night Tupac was murdered after the Tyson-Bruce Seldon fight in Vegas on Sept 7th, 1996. There is a lot of commentary from very well known people such as Nas, Mickey Rourke, Maya Angelou, and many more.
This documentary goes pretty deep, and shares a lot of insight & stories that opened up my eyes a bit more about the two of them. Definitely worth watching the whole 50 minutes of it.
