Snoop Dogg & Wiz Khalifa - Young, Wild and Free ft. Bruno Mars

One of my favorite tracks from the Summertime btw, when it first came out.

Go get that new Snoop & Wiz soundtrack they put together for their new (short) movie called "Mac + Devin Go To High School." Came out this past Monday, grab a copy here.

If you like to blaze and need some chill mood-setting beats then this cd is definitely for you #lightoneup

Gonna keep this one on repeat for a while..

Day 184: The Bay & LA Unite! - Welcome to California Remix (Music Video)

40 Glocc - Welcome To California  (Remix)

- featuring Snoop Dogg, Too $hort, Xzibit, & Siven

I can tell this is definitely a 'Bay Area' type beat compared to all the Bay Area music I listen to, and I am originally from the Bay... ya know, where we say HELLA and get HYPHY #YEEEEE

Now, I'm not sure what they are trying to show in this music video: the LA/Bay lifestyle or all these rapper/artist twitter account names. It's like everybody's trying to boost their twitter followers or something.

I really just wanted to post this song because "this is for the Westside!" Props to the old-school West for collaborating together. Haven't seen this in a minute.

Day 130: Snoop Dogg Album Release Party Recap (Pics + Videos)

http://daysofj.blogspot.com

3/31/11 (Hollywood, CA): I was very fortunate to get access to Snoop Dogg's album release party @ Trousdale, and to sum it all up: I had a Blast! =P

This party obviously was meant to celebrate the release of Snoop's recent album, Doggumentary, which by the way has a variety of mainstream/thumpin/laid-back songs made for any type of hip-hop/music lover. It doesn't matter if you're heavily into hip-hop or not, just get it. Reppin for that West!

The party had such a cool vibe and I even got to see a few celebs like Nicki & Paris Hilton, Warren G, and a few others (I was pretty drunk so I forgot to pay more attention.. SUE ME!). Anyways, I was able to take some nice videos & pics of the party below:

- Just warming up the crowd..

- PLATINUM! This song is a banger!

I got a few more pics in my album right here.

Mad props to my homie J.Li for hookin me up with this one yo!! FYI, more coverage on my homie's LA blog: Uncvr. Check it out!

Day 103: Superbowl XLV Steelers vs Packers - Snoop Rap (Video) + My Prediction

- Snoop Dogg rappin about the upcoming Superbowl in a Pepsi Max commercial
- Saw it here first: Ashleyoutrageous.com

I just love it when music & sports are mixed together; two of the most entertaining things in life. =)

Anyways, I'm really starting to get excited for the NFL Superbowl now as it's all going down this Sunday between the Green Bay Packers vs the Pittsburgh Steelers. When the playoffs first began, I predicted to see the Philadelphia Eagles vs the New England Patriots in the Superbowl but obviously I was way off on that one :\ (looked good going into it!)

Still though, I'm happy the Superbowl match-up turned out this way because these two teams are both beastly in so many different ways. What I'm looking forward to seeing the most is Aaron Rodgers & his hi-powered offense vs the dominant Steeler D. It should be a wild game on both ends!

I don't usually like betting on sports but since this is the Superbowl & it only happens once a year, I'll take a gamble for this one big event. If I were to bet on a team, my heart tells me to bet on the Packers because this is a QB-run sport and Aaron Rodgers is da shit, BUT... my gut & brain tells me to bet on the Steelers because they've won two Superbowls under "Big Ben" at QB and their defense is mad scary.

Hmmm... ok here's my prediction & pick:

31-27 PACKERS!! LET'S GO PAAAACKERS!!

Oh yea, one more thing... TGIF everyone!!

Day 93: Snoop & Wiz - That Good (Music Video)

- Saw the music video here first: AshleyOutrageous.com

One of my new favorite songs by Snoop Dogg & Wiz Khalifa is now in music video format! If you haven't heard it already then check out the music video and get a glimpse of how much they both love to blaze.

Sidenote: This is actually the first single off the soundtrack to a movie both Snoop & Wiz are starring in called "High School" set to be released on 4-20-11 (a very fitting release date). This is also going to be one of those "straight-to-dvd" type movies, so it won't be a blockbuster but I'm sure it will be entertaining.

If the video is too laggy for you, I posted up the audio a while ago right here:

Day 88.5: Light one up to some new Snoop Dogg & Wiz Khalifa (Audio)

http://daysofj.blogspot.com

Wiz Khalifa & Snoop Dogg have one main thing in common: they love to smoke all day, every day. On that note, here's a super chill song they both made while doing what they love. I'm going to call this the new "smoke sess" anthem, so before you spark one play this song ;)

Day 88: Snoop Dogg @ HoB on New Years Day (Events)

http://daysofj.blogspot.com

1/01/11 (Hollywood, CA): Although I was soo hungover all day from partying the night before, I went to go check out this Snoop Dogg show on New Years Day at the House of Blues. It was tough gathering up all that energy to go, but you know what.. it was totally worth it!!

I was pretty much in zombie-mode before the show but once the music came on & Snoop Dogg jumped on stage, I came back to life! He definitely gave an awesome performance as he rapped a lot of old jams mixed with some of his recent hits. As you know, Snoop loves to blaze so it was only fitting for him to light up a blunt at the start of the show while he was rapping his verse to the new Dr. Dre song "Kush" (this is when the air started gettin real fresh). He also had Daz & Kurupt up on stage with him and did a couple of my favorite DPG hits (Kurupt was off da chain!). At one point during the show, Snoop did a segment for 2Pac which I thought was really cool of him as he's still keeping his memories alive even to this day.. R.I.P. 2Pac.

Here are some pictures & a video I took @ the event:

- Daz, Snoop, & Kurupt (Sorry Daz, but you got fat!)

http://daysofj.blogspot.com
- Doing a song for the ladies..

http://daysofj.blogspot.com
- Time to C-walk!

**Warning: The sound is mad distorted because my camera sucks, so mute it and check out Snoop Dizzle puff on a blunt while he's doin his thang. Hold up, wait a minute.. lemme put some kush up in it!

I gotta give Snoop mad credit though for holding it down strong for the WestCoast and still keeping his name active after being in the rap game since the early 90's. FYI, I heard he's supposed to come out with a new album soon called Doggumentary so I'll be keeping tabs on that.

Thanks to my homie J.Li for this one. Peace.

Day 76: Hold up, Wait a minute, Let me put some "Kush" up in it (Music Video)

Dr. Dre - Kush featuring Snoop Dogg & Akon

- Alt Audio Link Link removed =(

Ever since this new song came out by Dr. Dre, I've been bumping it non-stop as it's really catchy, has such a dope piano beat, and the name of the track is awesome ("Kush", need I say more?). It's still a bit unreal to hear Dr. Dre rapping since he was on hiatus for so many years, but it's looking like "Detox" is finally becoming a reality and will be coming out very soon (c'mon, it's on wikipedia!).

One thing I noticed: This music video featuring Snoop Dogg & Akon was shot in Downtown LA, and I recognize the venue they shot the end part where Dre is walking down the stairs & the slow-mo part when he's walking through a corridor with Snoop. It was shot at a club/lounge called "Exchange" which is a pretty nice place to party at. For those who have been there before, you'll recognize where I'm talking about.

Overall, this is a pretty cool music video as they use the 3D still-motion filming (or whatever it's called) but they add their own variation by having Dre, Snoop, and Akon being the only people moving while everything is still. I'm seeing this 3D still-motion filming being used more & more in movies (Ex. The Other Guys) and music videos (Ex. Rap Song by T-Pain), which is kind of cool seeing how technology & filming are advancing.

Day 60: Is Dr. Dre really coming out with the "Detox" album? **REPOST

Photobucket
- Saw it here first: AshleyOutrageous.com

So, just recently there has been a buzz again about Dr. Dre giving people the notion that he will be releasing his so called "Detox" album that has been "in the making" for several years now. This album has been an on & off project that sort of faded away for a long time, but news about it is finally emerging again.

I just found this new XXL Magazine cover (above) for the December/January 2011 issue, so we will finally get a scoop on what the deal is with this "Detox" album that's supposed to top all of his older albums. Sources say this album will be set to be released in Q1 of 2011, but I'll believe it when I see it! More info about this can be found at: xxlmag.com.

On that note, here are two tracks that just recently leaked from the his"Detox" album. The first one features Akon & Snoop Dogg and the beat is fire (the way Dre uses the piano is siiik). The second features Eminem and sounds aiite (Em's verses are pretty deep though).

Dr. Dre - Kush featuring Snoop Dogg & Akon [**REMOVED]

Eminem - I Need A Doctor featuring Dr. Dre & Liz Rodrigues [**REMOVED]

FYI, these probably aren't the final versions of the songs as I'm sure Dre's gonna make some finishing touches to them. With that, should we believe "Detox" is actually coming?

----------------------- **REPOST:

Sorry everyone, but this post was taken down earlier because of the audio links (so lame). Well to make up for the loss of music (which I'm sure you can find elsewhere), here's a behind the scene look of the making of Dr. Dre's music video for the new song "Kush" featuring Akon & Snoop Dogg [Not suitable for everyone]:

- The music video was shot this past weekend in Downtown LA (Location: Unknown) with appearances from 50 Cent, E-40, and more

I'm pretty sure Dr. Dre is finally serious about releasing the "Detox" album, so we'll have to wait and see what else comes out in the next month or so.
