Day 229: Bumpin In My Playlist - Best of "Take Care" by Drake (Audio)

Been listening Drake's new album Take Care almost every day before it came out (got the leak!), and it still bumps. As much as people bag on most of his tracks because of his singing, there are a lot of good quality ones where he raps over awesome beats. Here's a quick playlist of the songs in my headphones:


- "Free Spirit" didn't make the cut on the album but I included it b/c it's a dope song
- Not really feelin "Take Care" but I added it b/c of Rihanna ;P

I love listening to well-orchestrated beats & drums, and these tracks are soothing to my ears. Overall, still an album worth buying though, and yes I did buy it.

I can't believe this song got past my radar for the few months that it's been out, so I just wanna say props to VEVO for setting up this music video and finding it's way to me =)

As soon as I heard the beginning of the beat, I knew this one was gonna be good. Fabolous has always held a good rep with me and is still coming out with those banger-type songs. He also has a slick rappin style and can get quite creative with his lyrics too. Keep em comin Fab.

Day 151: Found the Real Life Magneto! It's A Young 6-Year-Old Kid (Video)

Ok, I didn't really follow Magneto's history as a kid so I don't know when he becomes evil, but note to the parents: raise him right now or it will be the death of us all!

Hmm, I think I'll need to watch the new X-Men movie coming out, X-Men: First Class to get a sense of how Magneto's power & evil develops when he's young, so we can train the kid right. Actually fcuk it, we need to assassinate him now before he can learn to think! To the Blackbird!! =P

Real talk though, if the kid doesn't become Magneto then I can see him making a career in Vegas! ;) Hey, if you had that power, wouldn't you like to get paid big $$$ to show it off? I'm sure when he grows up he'll be able to do some awesome tricks with that talent.. I'm just saying!

Day 150: Shy Ronnie is back! ft. Rihanna - A new Lonely Island joint (Music Video)

First off I just wanna say, Rihanna is lookin sooo flyyyy, as usual ;)

I just saw this song pop up last week, so you know what this means? The Lonely Island are baaaack! This song caught my attention, not because of Rihanna, but because it's real funny and the type of music & comedy I enjoy!

They actually just recently dropped a new album called Turtleneck & Chain which should be full of songs like the one above (if you like this kind of stuff). All these d00ds are freakin hilarious but out of the group I think Andy Samberg is probably the funniest one! When is he gonna come out with another movie btw?

Day 148: I can't get enough of Vegas! But then again I'm so sick of it! It's a love/hate thing... (Pictures)

So these past 2 weekends in a row, I've been partying hard in the biggest party city in the USA, Sin City! (AKA Las Vegas!!) You can call me crazy, but I just call it living it up. We are only young once right? =P

"Livin young, and wild, and free" is the motto, only if you can handle it.

I'm no gambling addict or anything, but you can make a trip to Vegas all paid for as long as you play your cards right. That's the fun part about going to Vegas because if you're up alot of $ then its like a free trip, which is why I was able to go back-to-back weekends =D

It's all about betting big at the right moments. Go BIG or go HOME!

As much fun as I had in Vegas, I need to recover my mind & body so I think ima chill off Vegas for a while... just a few months maybe? =X

Day 130: Snoop Dogg Album Release Party Recap (Pics + Videos)

3/31/11 (Hollywood, CA): I was very fortunate to get access to Snoop Dogg's album release party @ Trousdale, and to sum it all up: I had a Blast! =P

This party obviously was meant to celebrate the release of Snoop's recent album, Doggumentary, which by the way has a variety of mainstream/thumpin/laid-back songs made for any type of hip-hop/music lover. It doesn't matter if you're heavily into hip-hop or not, just get it. Reppin for that West!

The party had such a cool vibe and I even got to see a few celebs like Nicki & Paris Hilton, Warren G, and a few others (I was pretty drunk so I forgot to pay more attention.. SUE ME!). Anyways, I was able to take some nice videos & pics of the party below:

Day 128: Dub Car Show in LA - Part Deuces - My Pictures! (Events)

Sorry for being a bit sloppy with this post but I didn't want to crowd my last one with too much stuff.

Anyways, I got some nice pictures @ the Dub Car Show of a few awesome cars, briefly saw Cain Velasquez (he's not as big as I thought but still a dangerous man!), photographed Jeri Lee's beautiful body of art (or I tried!), and captured some moments from the performances.

As you can see, I'm a n00b at using photoshop but I'm trying to learn new tricks.. For now, enjoy!

Day 127: Dub Car Show in LA - The Game, Lupe Fiasco, & more: Live Videos (Events)

3-27-11 (Los Angeles, CA): This past Sunday me and my friend went to check out the Dub Car Show not for the exotic cars, beautiful models, sik custom rides, & more gorgeous models, but for the LIVE PERFORMANCES!!

It was a pretty awesome line-up with a long list of rappers including DJ Quik, Nipsey Hussle, Waka Flocka Flame, Layzie Bone, and others, but I was really just looking forward to seeing The Game & Lupe Fiasco!! 

I gotta say each performance was a bit short & the audio/set-up wasn't that great, but being that I'm a big music enthusiast I still enjoyed seeing my favorite artists up there. Here are some videos I took of the main performances:

Japan Earthquake & Tsunami Relief Efforts - Please Help Donate!

I just want take a step away from my blog and say how very saddened I am about the devastation that has happened/is happening in Japan right now =(

I've seen so many pictures & videos of the massive disaster that I want to help in any way I can because it's very unfortunate for this to happen to anyone. And another thing too, people over there are currently facing a potential nuclear threat so if you think you have it bad then think again..

There are several ways to help, so please take the time to put in a donation to your preferred Relief Organization. Here are a few options:

- American Red Cross
- You can also text REDCROSS to 90999 for a $10 donation
- Here's another link I found with a list of different organizations via Yahoo.

If you're like me and not making that much income then you gotta think about the situation like this: If a natural disaster of this proportion happened in your area, wouldn't you like some help?

I just donated $10 to the Red Cross, and I really hope everyone can help contribute as well. The reason I am so passionate to help is because I've visited Japan before, and it's such a beautiful country with the nicest people you'll ever meet. I also have a homie living there, so I feel obligated & connected to help.

Truely, truely a tragic event...

Day 113: My NBA All-Star Weekend - D.Rose signing, Pictures, & More! (Events)

All was crackin this past weekend with NBA All-Star Weekend happening in Los Angeles, CA this year.

Since last Thursday, there have been so many NBA players making live appearances for the fans all over the place from the Fox Hills Mall, 3rd Street in Santa Monica, the Beverly Center, and more. There were also mad club parties each night hosted by various NBA players and so many celebs/rappers everywhere making special appearances too, but I wasn't able to get access to any of those parties so boo... =(

My one highlight of the weekend was that I did get to see one of my favorite NBA players, Derrick Rose. I got real lucky when I got to see him because the day before his appearance I found out that you needed a wristband to see him. They only handed out 150 of those wristbands and luckily I got one of them.. I waited 2 hours to get that wristband but it was so worth it.

I didn't have a jersey for him to sign so I got the next best thing.. his new shoes: the Adidas Adizero Rose 1.5. Freakin awesome bball shoes btw! I got pics below:

NBA All-Star Weekend: Los Angeles

Lastly, I just want to say the best part of NBA All-Star Weekend wasn't the NBA player appearances, totally not the exciting dunk contest Blake Griffin owned, and not even the All-Star game itself. The best part was actually the half-time performance by Rihanna! (I hope you know I'm being sarcastic but Rihanna did have an awesome performance tho, haha!)

Day 78: Action Movies to look forward to in 2011 (Movie Trailers)

- Looking forward to Transformers 3 in July 2011, but the trailer is such a teaser

So I was "taking a break" from work the other day and decided to search for some cool new movies coming out in 2011. As I was finding some interesting movies to add onto my movie list, it just dawned on me: 2011 is going to be all about Aliens & Robots!! Well not quiet, but I really hope we can get out of the vampires, werewolves, and kid wizards phase please.

Anyways, here are some awesome movie trailers that caught my attention:

Battle: Los Angeles

- Set to be released in March 2011 and stars Michelle Rodriguez & Aaron Eckhart
(Looks as if it could happen in real life.. and I'm living in LA too... AHHH!)

Cowboys & Aliens

- Set to be released in July 2011 and stars Daniel Craig (007!) and Harrison Ford
(This may be a hit or fail but the trailer has me curious)

Sucker Punch

- Set to be released in March 2011 and is from the directors of Watchmen & 300
(Looks like it will have a lot of cool visuals & non-stop action/fighting scenes)
