When tickets went on sale for this concert (happened last night), it sold out within a day which is why I'm so mad I couldn't go.. But man, if I had the funds I totally would have been there. Freakin dope lineup and looked like an awesome show all together.

Man, these ads every 5 min are sooo annoying, but great footage & sound quality of J. Cole & Drake's sets in these videos.

Day 204: Wish I coulda been in Canada for this - OVOFest behinds the scene (Video)

Yea, this video is a tad late but I just wanna show everyone that I really enjoy live shows/music these days since I missed out on soo much when I younger, and hope the people I'm reaching have a similar appreciation to enjoy this video I'm posting.

There are a lot of Hip-Hop shows in LA but I'm having trouble finding the time and the right people who want to go with me. S'all good tho.. as long as I stay motivated...

Day 202: Rock the Bells - Where Hip-Hop stays true and is still alive (Events)

8/20/11 (San Bernadino, CA): So, I wasn't sure if I was going to go to Rock the Bells this past Saturday but luckily I was able to get one of my good music homies to come out with me.

I left LA pretty late so I didn't get to enjoy RTB to it's fullest but I managed to check out a bit of Erika Badu & Mobb Deep, saw Nas peform, and ended the cold night with some Lauryn Hill. Yea, it was freakin cold cuz I was wearing a T-shirt & shorts expecting it to be super hot over there. #wardrobefail

- Still a lot of Hip-Hop fans here as you can see...

Regardless of missing a lot of performances during the day, I'm grateful I was able to go & enjoy live Hip-Hop and be surrounded by Hip-Hop heads for once. It seems like they're hard to find around here in LA since everybody around me listens to that electro/dub-step sh*t, or maybe I need to start looking for them...

Day 201: The WestCoast rap torch has been passed to Kendrick Lamar! (Video)

Last Friday, Kendrick Lamar had a show at the Music Box in Hollywood, CA, and every top dawg from the West was there like Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, The Game, and others. There were also special appearances by Big Sean, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, and a bunch more I'm probably missing. The torch has been passed on, and I'm confident Kendrick will hold it down strong for the WestCoast & put us back on top. #westcoastback

Anyways, I regret not going to this show.. once in a lifetime moment... #BIGsadface

I must say though, Kendrick is a super-talented young artist who stays true to that real hip-hop sound and incorporates that new generation flavor #bestforbothworlds

If you haven't heard of him yet then go check out (buy) his recent album called Section.80. If you're a true fan of hip-hop then I dare you to listen to it and tell me you don't feel the same way about him.

Good to see Jay-Z is back doing live concerts again though. He just announced his tour dates with Kanye West to promote their new album coming out next month. Check out the tour dates right here.
