J. Cole is among one of my favorite artists from the new generation of raps these days, and adding Missy Elliot to this track makes it such a hit. I'm really diggin the drum beat and guitar melody too.. a hard yet smooth sound. I can level with this.. #nobodysperfect

I guess it's all about timing, and he probably wanted to make more of an impact with this track at the peak of his career. Good sh#t.

I got a chance to listen to J. Cole's new album (Cole World: The Sideline Story) before it came out, and I pretty much liked every song on the album so this is definitely an album worth buying.

Everybody who's anybody has some sort of "pain" in their lives that they deal with whether it be legal issues, money problems, work stress, etc, but people gotta realize that it's not worth it to dwell on it otherwise the pain will just get deeper.

The way I cope with pain is to keep my mind focused, my head up, and my time busy. Easier said than done, I know, but if people can grasp what I just said and try to change their mindset then I truly believe it can be really helpful for a lot of people. Day 68: J. Cole Performance in SJ Recap (Pics + Videos)

11/27 (San Jose, CA): While I was in the bay for Thanksgiving break, My friends and I went to go check out J. Cole perform live @ Voodoo Lounge last Friday, and all I gotta say is he is one dope MC.

He definitely rocked the stage and gave everybody an awesome show. He performed his hit track "Who Dat" and rapped his verses from the mainstream song "All I Want is You" by Miguel. He also did a bunch of my fav's from his Friday Night Lights mixtape and some other jams from his older mixtape called The Warm Up.

The only downside was that Voodoo Lounge is a small venue and the stage was literally just a corner area. Also, it was pretty dark in general so I couldn't really take great pictures. Granted all that, it wasn't too crowded so I got a close view of the entire performance. Overall, the show was more than worth it.

After seeing the pictures & video I took, I'm motivated to get a better camera and possibly a flip cam. Hopefully I can start saving money soon but for now this will have to do.

Day 28: Kick Back With Some J. Cole

I've been keeping an ear out for J. Cole recently as there's been a growing buzz about him, which is about to get bigger real soon. He's supposed to come out with his first official debut album called "Cole World," which is scheduled to be released this October 26th so I'll be all over that when it does come out. He's also going to begin a Fall tour throughout the U.S., so below I've listed the dates when he will be performing in Cali for those of us in the West:
