Day 329: Wale ft. Meek Mill - Heaven's Afternoon (Audio)

Forgot about Wale's album, The Gifted, when Yeezy, J. Cole, Mac Miller, Action Bronson, and Statik Selektah's new music all came out. Don't sleep on this one.

Happy 4th everyone! If you can't get a hold of Hova's album, MCHG, then I strongly suggest you check that one out. Str8 fire.

Day 231: Let's slow things down a bit - "Lotus Flower Bomb" by Wale ft. Miguel (Music Video)

- Alt Audio Link

Diggin Miguel's vocals on this Wale track, which is featured on Wale's recent album that just came out called Ambition. A really smooth beat right here.

I've listened to most of this album, and I gotta say it's got some pretty legit tracks and well-composed beats. My fav song on the album so far would have to be "Ambition" featuring Rick Ross & Meek Mill. Check it out for yourself.

Day 205: This one's for the ladies - Wale x Jeremih x Rick Ross "That Way" (Music Video)

Wale - That Way ft. Jeremih & Rick Ross

- Alt Audio Link

Smooth beat, relaxing sounds, good vocals, chill raps, and has a tune everybody can enjoy.. what's not to like about this one? #happythoughts

Wale.. Rick Ross.. MMG. Definitely for the mainstream listeners and oh yea, I can't forget about the ladies too ;) #hollaaa

I'm used to hearing hardcore beats from Lex Luger but he did a nice job with this one.

Day 176: Racks on Racks on Racks! - YC ft. Everybody (Music Video)

YC - Racks (Remix) ft. Various Artists

- ft. Nelly, B.o.B.Trae The Truth, Yo Gotti, Cyhi Da Prynce, Dose & Ace Hood

This is such a nice summer party song with that thumpin beat, and the chorus is mad catchy too! Whenever I hear this song, it gets me in the mood to wanna go out #ItsTshirtTime

You wanna know what's better than a 6+ min remix? A 12+ min REMIX! haha! Ok, freals tho.. the 12+ min one is way better. There is another list of rappers on this one that I'm not gonna go through, but I'll just name a few: Wiz Khalifa, Big Sean, Bun B, Wale, and more. Chekkit:

YC - Racks (Remix) ft. VA

I'm not sure who YC is yet but I'm sure I'll be hearing more from this d00d. Until then, I got "racks on racks on raaaacks!"

Ok, just to give yall a heads up ima be heading to Vegas for the long weekend. I probably won't be posting anything until I'm back, but in the meantime I'll be updating my twitter from time to time: @DaysofJ follow me & my shenanigans ;)

Have a safe & fun 4th of July everyone!

Day 165: I wish I had a "600 Benz" - Rick Ross x Wale x Jadakiss (Music Video)

Rick Ross - 600 Benz ft. Wale & Jadakiss

- Alt Audio Link

Here's a cool music video of the latest single from the Maybach Music Group album titled Self Made Vol. 1 in stores now.

I just got to listening to this album and I gotta say it's filled with mostly hard sounding beats, but there are some tracks that are orchestrated really well. Lyrically, it's ehhhh and I'm not fully in-tune to the hardcore rappin they do, but if you just like listening to good beats and are a fan of Wale & Rick Ross then go cop it here. This is the kinda music you just bump to.

I knew I recognized one of the sample sounds they used on this track; it sounds like they got it from this Lloyd Banks track: Take Em To War (ft. Tony Yayo). Do you know what I'm talking about? This is a dope song too btw

Saw the music video here first: Complex

Did I say how much I love this magazine? #mysource

Day 157: Play Your Part - Rick Ross x Wale x Meek Mill x Chester French (Music Video)

Rick Ross - Play Your Part ft. Wale, Meek Mill, & Chester French

- Alt Audio Link

"You think you're using me, like this game's new to me, but you ain't confusing me..."
- Chester French

I don't like playing game & can see right through that sh#t, so just like the chorus says.. see we'll be cool as long as you just play your part.

This is one of my favorite tracks I've been bumping in my playlist, which is off the new Self Made Vol. 1 album that just dropped by the Maybach Music Group. I haven't heard the whole album yet but I deem it worth the $ so far.

Day 155: Happy Memorial Day Peeps! - Wale ft. Tiara Thomas (Music Video)

Wale - The Cloud ft. Tiara Thomas

- Alt Audio Link

With today off work, I just wanna relax & chill from a weekend full of late night partying.. #hungover

On that note, check out this chill Wale track over a smooth-sounding guitar instrumental. I wish I could be in the music video with them enjoying the good times, haha!

Someone light one up for me in honor of the fallen who have died for our country. God Bless.

Have a nice Memorial Day!

Day 65.5: It's Friday Night! Time to check out some J. Cole (Audio)

http://daysofj.blogspot.com

In light of the J. Cole performance I'm about to check out tonight in the Bay Area, I just want to share with everybody some of his new tracks so you can get a taste of the good music I'm about to witness live. Here are some of my favorite songs from his recent mixtape called "Friday Night Lights":

J. Cole - In The Morning featuring Drake

- Alt Audio Link
- Slow jam type of song

J. Cole - You Got It featuring Wale

- Alt Audio Link
- This song is very upbeat

J. Cole - Blow Up

- Alt Audio Link
- This song just bumps

J. Cole - Back to the Topic (Freestyle)

- Alt Audio Link
- He got some tight rhymes in this song

Just to let you know, J. Cole is an up & coming hip-hop rapper & also a producer of most of his own music, which is something that's very difficult to do by one person. This guy has mad talent & a dope rap style, and I can't wait to check out his performance tonight!

TGIF peoples & I hope everyone is enjoying their Thanksgiving break!

Day 16.5: Take A Break and Let Wale Put In "The Work" (Video)

Wale - The Work (Workin)
http://www.mediafire.com/?j2yuhzx3zmx (mp3 audio)

This recent song by Wale has a real "hipster" beat to it. I think it's a few months old, but the video is new so check that out. Enjoy.

Day 13: Ready for some Waka Flocka Flame? (New Music Video)

Waka Flocka Flaaaaaaaaaaame! You must be asking yourself, wtf am I saying? Yea, I was thinking the same thing when I heard this rapper emerge onto the scene. He's pretty new and has been in the game since 2009. His most popular songs are "O Let's Do It" and "Hard In Da Paint." His rhymes are a bit explicit even for my own taste, but it looks like he is definitely making a name for himself this year.

Below I have a new music video of his recent single called "No Hands" which features Wale & Roscoe Dash. It's got a nice club beat with a catchy hook, but the lyrics are probably not for everybody though. Overall, the sound of the entire song appeals to my ears and I can bump to it, but you can come up with your own opinion:

Waka Flocka Flame - No Hands ft. Wale & Roscoe Dash [Official Video]
- mp3 link: http://www.mediafire.com/?21v0luf3ndr

Not sold on Waka Flocka yet, so we'll see if he can come out with some more hit songs...

Day 11: Some Real Hip-Hop by "1982"

http://daysofj.blogspot.com/

Here's a dose of what real Hip-Hop is right here. These two guys above, Termanology (left) and Statik Selektah (right), are very well known in the underground hip-hop scene who compose the chiiiiillest (& illest) type beats with some true sense behind their rhymes and meaning in their music as a whole.

For now, the duo will be naming themselves "1982" as they will be putting out their first full-length album together called 1982, which is scheduled to be released this October 26th.

Their first official single called "You Should Go Home" off their new album is everything I expected: an up-lifting beat with some old school vibes & good vocals (lyrically very fluid too); definitely in my favorites now =)  Check out the music video below:

1982 (Statik Selektah & Termanology) - You Should Go Home ft. Bun B & Masspike Miles

If you like that then you might like this too:

Statik Selektah - So Close, So Far ft. Bun B, Wale, Colin Munroe

  - from the album: 100 Proof (The Hangover)

Both songs put me in a good mood yo, hope it does the same for you...

Day 7: Chill out with some Wale & Wiz Khalifa

http://daysofj.blogspot.com/

http://daysofj.blogspot.com/

Wale (top) teams up with Wiz Khalifa (bottom) and dishes out a really nice track you can vibe to. This song has a beat that can put you at ease & even fall asleep to with the smooth rappin of Wale & Wiz. To help take that stress away for the moment, here's the track for your listening pleasure:
