Waka Flocka Flaaaaaaaaaaame! You must be asking yourself, wtf am I saying? Yea, I was thinking the same thing when I heard this rapper emerge onto the scene. He's pretty new and has been in the game since 2009. His most popular songs are "O Let's Do It" and "Hard In Da Paint." His rhymes are a bit explicit even for my own taste, but it looks like he is definitely making a name for himself this year.
Below I have a new music video of his recent single called "No Hands" which features Wale & Roscoe Dash. It's got a nice club beat with a catchy hook, but the lyrics are probably not for everybody though. Overall, the sound of the entire song appeals to my ears and I can bump to it, but you can come up with your own opinion:

Not sold on Waka Flocka yet, so we'll see if he can come out with some more hit songs...

Day 11: Some Real Hip-Hop by "1982"
Here's a dose of what real Hip-Hop is right here. These two guys above, Termanology (left) and Statik Selektah (right), are very well known in the underground hip-hop scene who compose the chiiiiillest (& illest) type beats with some true sense behind their rhymes and meaning in their music as a whole.
For now, the duo will be naming themselves "1982" as they will be putting out their first full-length album together called 1982, which is scheduled to be released this October 26th.
Their first official single called "You Should Go Home" off their new album is everything I expected: an up-lifting beat with some old school vibes & good vocals (lyrically very fluid too); definitely in my favorites now =) Check out the music video below:

Day 10: ESPN's 30 for 30 about Mike Tyson & Tupac
This is a very interesting ESPN: 30 for 30 documentary called "One Night in Vegas" (that just aired last night) which is about Mike Tyson & Tupac Shakur's growing bond together and contains stories about their friendship leading up to the night Tupac was murdered after the Tyson-Bruce Seldon fight in Vegas on Sept 7th, 1996. There is a lot of commentary from very well known people such as Nas, Mickey Rourke, Maya Angelou, and many more.
This documentary goes pretty deep, and shares a lot of insight & stories that opened up my eyes a bit more about the two of them. Definitely worth watching the whole 50 minutes of it.

Day 9: Bun B - Trillionaire ft. T-Pain (Video)
Bun B - Trillionaire ft. T-Pain (Produced by J.U.S.T.I.C.E League):
- http://www.mediafire.com/?m5lt3nzmm22 (in case the video doesn't work)
If you haven't heard of Bun B, well check him out because he's coming out with some fire on this track featuring T-Pain called Trillionaire. Bun B recently came out with an album called Trill O.G. which I think has a lot of very well versed songs along with some sik beats. He also features some big name artists on this album including Drake, Young Jeezy, Trey Songz, and more.
I've been bumpin his album non-stop ever since I heard it. His style is a bit raw but his raps "flow like water." If you're a Hip-Hop head then you'll dig this.
To give you a taste of how dope this album his, here are a few of my other favorite songs:
Bun B - It's Been A Pleasure ft. Drake (Produced by Boi-1da):

Day 8.5: Rick Ross & Drake - Aston Martin Music (Extended Version)
I just came across this yesterday, so my bad if it's old to you. Recently, Rick Ross (left) came out with cool track featuring Drake (right) called "Aston Martin Music" (which is on his album: Teflon Don). I initially thought Drake would spit out a verse on it, but apparently that didn't happen and all he sang was the hook. Well, I guess a lot of fans complained, so low n behold I found the Extended Mix with a verse from Drake at the end. Check it out:

Day 8: The New iPod Nano
Just caught me a glimpse of the new iPod Nano, which looks kinda cool and fun to play with. Apple is always looking to reduce the size of their other iPods so might as well do it with the nano too, right? Some nice features include:
- A touch screen because that is the "future of technology" these days (called "Multi-touch")
- Practically half the size & weight of the regular iPod nano, which makes it easier to carry around (and easier to lose!)
- Has a "Shake" feature where you can literally shake the iPod Nano and it will shuffle to the next song (good for lifting weights & exercising)
- A clip in the back so you can hang it to almost anything (similar to the ipod shuffle)
- You can rotate the screen with two fingers, which is convenient if you have it hooked on your armband the wrong way (or somewhere it's not supposed to be :P)
The new iPod Nano is supposed to retail for $149 (8GB version) and $179 (16 GB version), which come in all the Apple colors. This is set to be available in stores sometime next week. Here's a video of someone playing around with it, so you can preview it live in action:

Day 7.5: Trey Songz & Drake for the Ladies!
- Trey Songz (left) and Drake (right)
Two of the top artists in this generation's era, Trey Songz & Drake, collaborate on a very chill song together. I'm more of a Drake fan if anything, but Trey Songz is definitely up there when it comes to making mainstream Hip-Hop and R&B music for the ladies.
I bet this song will be played on the radio 24/7 if it hasn't been playing already, but before you get sick of it, you can listen to it here:

Day 7: Chill out with some Wale & Wiz Khalifa
Wale (top) teams up with Wiz Khalifa (bottom) and dishes out a really nice track you can vibe to. This song has a beat that can put you at ease & even fall asleep to with the smooth rappin of Wale & Wiz. To help take that stress away for the moment, here's the track for your listening pleasure:

Day 6: "Sports are Baaack"
- The Educators
First day of September.. you know what that means? Sports are just around the corner! I'm talking about the "REAL" sports aka Football & Basketball. Here are the start dates to keep in mind:
- NFL: Kicking off next Thursday, 9/09, with the Minnesota Vikings vs the New Orleans Saints, which should be a very action-packed game to watch
- NBA: Beginning their regular season on Tuesday, 10/26, and the game to watch that day will be the Miami Heat vs the Boston Celtics (battle of the new vs the old!)
Of course, what better brands to hype up basketball/football are no other than Foot Locker & Nike. As you saw above, Nike & Foot Locker just created some sik commercials with top athletes in both sports including Justin Tuck, DeSean Jackson, Amare Stoudemire, and Rajon Rondo. Sanya Richards, who is a track & field athlete, is also in the mix too.
If you don't get pumped after watching these commercials then there's something wrong with you. Check out the series of commercials below (missing Rondo's commercial, but when it's out I'll post that up):
- Pop Quiz
- Field Trip
- Dunkography
