Bringing back the old school Hip-Hop/Rap is one of my goals for this blog in 2012 to remind people how good hip-hop/rap music was when it was still considered fresh in my head. This is one of my favorite songs I used to bump back in high school, and has one of the sickest instrumentals.

I wish I could re-live the 90s, don't you? I remember it being a quiet simpler and less-stressful time... granted I was young and just worried about going to school =P

I'm going to start labeling these as "Rewind It Back" posts moving forward so be on the lookout.

Nipsey Hussle has been catching more & more buzz these days, holding it down for the New WestCoast. This is one of my favorite tracks from his recent mixtape The Marathon Continues #TMC

After watching this video, it makes me want to go back and visit Japan. Such a dope culture over there, especially for hip-hop.

Day 243: What's all this hype about the "Kobe System" ?? (New Commercial)

I gotta hand it to Nike & Kobe, and how they were able to gather all these celebs, pro athletes, and musicians in one commercial and make it work. I guess you can't expect anything less from Kobe though. There are a lot of funny one-liners from each person too, and at the end of the commercial it gets you wondering.. how do I get on the Kobe System?

Really feeling this chill Mac Miller track, which is featured on his recent album that came out called Blue Slide Park. Overall, a decent album worth buying so go get a copy if you can.

I hope everybody's year is off to a good start so far (even though it's only the 6th, haha). For me, new year = new priorities. I won't be posting stuff on my blog as much (as you can see I haven't been updating this that often), but I'll try to post up whatever is interesting and catches my attention when I have a free moment.

Not sure how I missed posting this music video up before as this was one of my favorite tracks from Jay Rock's album that came out this past Summer called Follow Me Home.

Track features another prodigy from the west, Kendrick Lamar. The dope beat was produced by J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League.

Day 237: Jay-Z live at "Watch The Throne Tour" in Staples Center LA (Events)

12-12-11: I got a chance to go see Jay-Z and Kanye West while they were in LA last Monday on their Watch The Throne Tour. Above is a video I took of one of my favorite Jay-Z tracks from a while back called "Dirt Off Your Shoulders"

This was probably one of the dopest concerts I've been to so far: great transitions from song to song, awesome stage & lighting/special effects, and they did all their top hits from past to current (solo & together).

The sh*t did get cray at the end of the show as (that day) they set the record of doing that song ("N*ggas in Paris") 9 times in a row. I laughed for a bit that they actually did it but I went with it anyways. Song is mad catchy and easily energizes the crowd.

When tickets went on sale for this concert (happened last night), it sold out within a day which is why I'm so mad I couldn't go.. But man, if I had the funds I totally would have been there. Freakin dope lineup and looked like an awesome show all together.

Man, these ads every 5 min are sooo annoying, but great footage & sound quality of J. Cole & Drake's sets in these videos.
