Day 366: Now listening to Kilo Kish (Audio)

Through browsing & reading all these year-end recaps of best albums & mixtapes of 2013, I luckily stumbled upon the mixtape, K+, by Kilo Kish and gave it a listen. After hearing 'creepwave' for the first time, I immediately embraced her style of music and checked out the rest of her mixtape. Overall, it's produced very well and has a dope sound if you're into that ambient-sounding style of rap music (sort of fused with some spacey beats).

With all these new emerging artists fusing different genres together, I'm going to do my best to learn how to describe what I hear better to help you understand where I'm coming from. Right now, I'm just in the zone of researching new music and finding all kinds of styles I'm taking a liking to, so bare with me for now =)

Day 365: Fabolous with the Soul Tape Mixtape 3 (Audio)

- diggin the Lonnie Liston-Smith sample on this track (**classic**)

Fabolous doesn't need to release any albums to make his name known in the rap world since he's been killing it with these Soul Tape mixtapes. He's very quietly staying relevant in the game and giving his fans what they want: quality hip-hop. New York stand up!

Day 364: Vic Mensa with "Crazy" + INNANETAPE Mixtape (Audio)

Just heard this recent track "Crazy" from the Chicago-native Vic Mensa, and just want to say it's so freaking ill & fresh. Wowzas.

I've heard his name on-n-off this past year but never really got into his music much until now. He sort of has a J. Cole type of rap style & sound. Check out his recent mixtape released earlier in 2013, INNANETAPE after the jump.

Day 363: G-Eazy with "Almost Famous" (Music Video)

A dope concept for this music video; gotta check this out. It was put together really well.

Get familiar with G-Eazy tho. Hope he doesn't turn into a Mackelmore.

Day 362: On my radar - Kelela

Been on Kelela's music for about month now and have started to take a good liking to her recent mixtape, Cut 4 Me. Stream and download it for free after the jump.

Day 361: Band to watch for in 2014 - London Grammar

I only recently heard about London Grammar from sifting & researching through all the music out there, and am very much feeling their sound. I'm glad I got them in my playlist now because I have a feeling they're going to make themselves known in 2014, so I'm getting familiar at a good time. As you can also tell, I'm really starting to adore bands with an awesome lead vocalist these days which sound so much better live from my experiences so far.

Day 360: In my playlist - "Chosen" by Blood Orange (Audio)

This track by Blood Orange gives me some feelings of nostalgia; takes me back to when I was a kid always listening to 80s jams and soft rock my parents would always played on the radio. Maybe that's why this track clicks in my head so well.

I've been listening to Cupid Deluxe recently, and I gotta say there's a lot of great tunes on the album. It's up on Spotify, so stream it and take a listen.

Day 359: A$AP Nast bringing 90s hip-hop back with "Trillmatic" ft. Method Man

Any collab with Method Man is an instant hip-hop hit, so kudos on this A$AP Nast. Got that 90's era feel to this beat & track as a whole. Digging this track a lot.

Day 358: Stuck in my head: "Cherry" by Chromatics (Music Video)

I heard Schoolboy Q's new single "Man of the Year" recently, and did some digging on the sample because it sounded so amazing. To my surprise, it was taken from this track by Chromatics which have been heavy in my playlist rotation lately. I was lucky enough to catch Chromatics live a few months back when they opened up for the xx. I really need to see them live again.

Day 357: Mixtape on blast - "Blue Chips 2" by Action Bronson & Party Supplies

Really feeling the New York vibe with the entire mixtape. Such a dope collabo between Action Bronson & Party Supplies. This mixtape deserves two thumbs up and then some. Gotta take a listen to it.
