Day 380: All aboard the Q train - "What They Want" (Music Video)
Schoolboy Q is on fire right now with his new album release, Oxymoron. Kudos to Q for actively engaging my mind with all this buzz surrounding him & his album (can't get him out of my head, freals). All-n-all, this album is really good; been bumping the album non-stop & I can't get enough of it right now.
Check out my other favorite track after the jump.

Day 358: Stuck in my head: "Cherry" by Chromatics (Music Video)
I heard Schoolboy Q's new single "Man of the Year" recently, and did some digging on the sample because it sounded so amazing. To my surprise, it was taken from this track by Chromatics which have been heavy in my playlist rotation lately. I was lucky enough to catch Chromatics live a few months back when they opened up for the xx. I really need to see them live again.
Stream Schoolboy Q's "Man of the Year" after the jump.

Day 255: One of those "I don't giva f#ck" type songs - Schoolboy Q x A$VP Rocky (Music Video)
Schoolboy Q - Hands on the Wheel ft. A$VP Rocky
"Crush a bit, little bit, roll it up, take a hit.."
Not sure how I let this one pass me by, but I'm glad I was able to find this track when I did. It's Schoolboy Q reppin TDE with the quickly-growing Harlem native, A$VP Rocky.
The instrumental on the track is mad sik, and I like how it's mixed all together with the uptempo drums, different/unique blend of instrument sounds, and the background vocals/chorus is really what did it for me.
Now, don't let the literal aspect of the lyrics influence you to go out and rage your brains out like them, but I'm sure what they're trying to tell us is to go let loose once in a while and have a good time however you choose to. Sometimes you just need to get your mind off of sh*t, ya kno.. press that reset button.

Day 188: The new West holdin it down - Jay Rock x Ab-Soul x SchoolBoy Q, Kendrick Lamar (Music Video)
Jay Rock - Say Wassup ft. Ab-Soul, SchoolBoy Q, Kendrick Lamar
- Alt Audio Link
Here's a recent track for all you peoples who like to "light one up." I like this beat especially because it makes me feel super lazy but in a good, relaxed way. =P
Granted these guys are pretty well-known in the Hip-Hop world, I think this collaboration is a good way for these new generation of WestCoast rappers to get that mainstream buzz and hopefully spark a new era in the West. I feel like it's been a while since the WestCoast had that real "icon" in Hip-Hop. With that said, the West is coming back! #ReppinDatWest
Definitely a good summertime song #BlazeItUp
FYI, Jay Rock just came out with his first official album today called Follow Me Home and I gotta say this album is overall pretty dope. It's in stores & itunes now so go get it. So many sick beats on that album btw.
